Education
Flying Forms has experience working with students at all levels. In addition to concerts we offer: lecture demonstrations, masterclasses, workshops, side-by-side orchestra reading and performances, and private lessons. Suggested student groups include, but are not limited to: university private studios, youth symphonies, Suzuki programs, and secondary school classes.
In 2019 we returned to Minnesota Public Radio for our third time as Class Notes Artists. In collaboration with MPR we have developed unique programs with specific learning goals and perform for students throughout Minnesota. Programs have included an Intro to Baroque, Influence of the New World, and The Grand Tour exploring national styles and programmatic music.
Also in 2019, Flying Forms members started to visit Suzuki programs and work with groups and individual students on baroque music found in the Suzuki repertoire. Students learned about the Baroque period, how to dance the Minuet, and how to play their music in baroque style.
